Proposed Route for Wreck Extravagansa

Strictly subject to weather conditions. Alternative wrecks and sites maybe substituted if weather dictates.

Day 1. Arrive at Hurghada and transfer to the boat to check in and pay the necessary onboard charges, Marine Park Tax, HEPCA environmental tax, entertainment tax, etc.

Day 2. After receiving approval from the coast guard, we head North for a suitable check dive, to reorientate ourselves with our equipment, weighting etc, followed by the first wreck dives at Abu Nuhas. Weather permitting, an overnight sail will take us North to Zafrana.

Day 3. Full Days Diving on Turkia before an overnight sail to Ras Gharib.

Day 4. An area full of wreck diving. Opportunities including SS Scalaria, MV Aboudy, HMS Nith, MV Bahr and MV Qtmas.

Day 5. Continuing South we reach Bluff Point for Rosalie Muller, SS Ulysses before heading over to SS Thistlegorm.

Day 6. Two early dives on Thistlegorm and then sail back to Abu Nuhas and the remaining wrecks there.

Day 7. An early start again to allow us to dive two more wrecks at Abu Nuhas before sailing back for the final wreck dive at El Mina and The T43 minesweeper. Arrive back in the harbour late afternoon.

Day 8. Check out and depart from the boat.

Wreck Extravagansa
You will dive exclusively on wrecks, but some wrecks are like living reefs with an amazing amount of marine life that have made the wrecks their homes. However, if wrecks are your passion, this trip is definitely for you. You will dive on Iconic and popular wrecks and you could be diving on wrecks that in some cases have had virtually no other divers visit. Wrecks that have been lost and left for decades and longer. War casualties, maritime disasters and some simply disappeared beneath the seas.
We will give you a full historical briefing on every wreck you dive on, and we will always be on the hunt for new discoveries. The last one was MV Qtmas which was found in October 2016.

If you want to find out more and want to join this trip, which already is half full, please contact us by email|.
